In the tight-knit world of Southern Gospel music, few names carry the deep-rooted legacy and warm, familial presence of Jeff and Sheri Easter. For decades, the husband-and-wife duo has graced stages worldwide, earning multiple Grammy nominations, Dove Awards, and a permanent place in the hearts of fans through their work and frequent appearances on the Gaither Homecoming series.
However, behind the harmony-rich vocals and traveling ministry lies a core element that has defined both their personal lives and their career: their children. As musical royalty—with Jeff coming from the legendary Easter Brothers and Sheri hailing from the famous Lewis Family—it was only natural that music and ministry would overflow into the next generation.
Jeff and Sheri share three children: Madison, Morgan, and Maura. Growing up on a tour bus and backstage at concert venues, the Easter children didn’t just witness their parents’ faith-based mission; they lived it, eventually stepping up to share the stage.
Madison Easter
As the oldest of the three siblings, Madison grew up immersed in the family business. Displaying a natural affinity for instrumentation, he became an integral part of the touring band playing guitars. Traveling extensively with his parents into his mid-twenties, Madison eventually transitioned off the full-time road life to carve out his own path. Today, he is married to his wife, Shannon, and the couple resides in Los Angeles, California, where they pursue creative and musical endeavors, raising their two boys, Miles and Rhythm.
Morgan Easter
Morgan, the middle child, stepped into the family spotlight at a remarkably young age, recording albums early in life and joining the touring group as a vocalist when she was just 14 years old. Blessed with a powerful voice that earned her prestigious accolades like the Singing News Fan Award for Horizon Individual and the SGN Scoops Sunrise Award, Morgan has continued the strong female vocal tradition passed down from her mother and grandmother.
Morgan married Landan Smith—who famously began playing drums for Jeff and Sheri as a young boy—keeping the gospel music community ties tightly wound. Together, they welcomed a daughter named Ryman Pauline, adding a brand-new generation to the family tree.
Maura Grace Easter
The youngest of the siblings, Maura, practically entered the spotlight before she could even walk, making her first stage appearance when she was only 11 days old. Growing up immersed in the rhythm of tour life, Maura has balanced her love for the arts—ranging from visual arts and drawing to musical theater—while remaining a vibrant part of the family’s shared musical heritage.
A Continuing Legacy
While many family bands struggle under the friction of life on the road, the Easters have frequently spoken about how mutual respect, humor, and genuine friendship have kept them close. Though Madison, Morgan, and Maura have each pursued their own distinct chapters—ranging from family life on the West Coast to continuing musical ventures and raising grandchildren—the Easter children remain a testament to a heritage built on faith, resilience, and song.
