Whether you are setting up recurring meetings with clients, hosting a virtual hangout, or tired of digging through old calendar invites, having a clean, custom Zoom link can save you a mountain of hassle. Instead of a random string of numbers, a custom link lets people join your Personal Meeting Room using a personalized URL (like zoom.us/my/yourname).
This guide will walk you through how to locate your existing Zoom links, how to set up or modify a custom link, and where to find it once it’s ready.
1. Where to Find Your Default Zoom Links (Quick Finder)
If you already have a meeting scheduled or want to grab your standard Personal Meeting ID (PMI) link right now, you don’t even need a web browser.
- On the Zoom Desktop App:
- Open the Zoom app on your computer.
- Click on the Meetings tab at the top or side panel.
- Look for your Personal Meeting ID (PMI) section, where your invite link is displayed. You can click Copy Invitation to paste it anywhere.
- On the Zoom Mobile App:
- Tap the Meetings tab at the bottom.
- Your Personal Meeting Room details and invite URL will be right there at the top.
2. How to Create or Find Your Custom Personal Zoom Link
If your account type supports it (typically Licensed users on Business, Education, or Enterprise accounts), you can create a custom text-based alias for your personal room.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Log into the Web Portal: Open your web browser and go to zoom.us
